HIIT workouts involve short intervals at max effort, followed by a period of rest to bring your heart rate back to normal. The key to success is to maintain intensity in the short bursts.
Aim to work on each exercise for 40 seconds, followed by a 20-40 second rest. If you’re new to HIIT workouts, stick with one or two rounds (e.g. 10 minutes). If you’re up for more of a challenge, go for the full 20-minute workout! Remember to warm up and down properly with stretches to prevent sore muscles.
