Cardio training is vital but it’s only half the equation. For a balanced fitness programme, strength training is essential. Strength training slows age related muscle loss, builds bone density and helps prevent injury. Furthermore, muscle burns more calories than fat and gives you shape and a toned appearance!
The equipment in our Performance Zone allows you to focus your strength training and preserve or build muscle.
The Performance Zone is for everyone, including beginners and ladies but we understand that you may find it a little daunting at first. Then there is the issue of proper form, without it, you could do more harm than good trying to build strength. To give you the confidence and knowledge to get started, our gym team have put together a series of training videos with some simple and effective exercises.
